DVD Productions

Community Advance Project produces DVDs on social issues of concern to our communities. The DVDs have education and campaigning functions.

The DVDs inform viewers from diverse range of backgrounds about the issues facing certain communities. In some cases the communities themselves have the ability to effect social change.

We also aim to influence better services by lobbying decision makers and service providers to listen to the people voicing their concerns and re-examine how issues are being addressed.

Funded by Hackney Council and produced in partnership with Hackney DAAT and Hackney Youth Service. Using youth interviews and dramatised testimonies to warn against Drugs and Alcohol misuse for 11-18 year olds. The DVD is used by Hackney Youth Service substance misuse workers to deliver preventative information workshops in Hackney Schools and Youth Centres. Link to DVD

Community Advance Project is producing a succinct professional 15-20 minute DVD informing staff & trustees from community organisations about individual budgets and personalisation agenda for social care. The DVD will also be targeted at individuals informing them of entitlement & the process involved. Focusing on key facts in simple understandable manner that is clear for people to gain information to make informed choice. 200 copies of the DVD will be produced for free distribution to community organisations to use for screening to their users & staff. The DVD will also be uploaded to our website & youtube for people to access anytime. Link to DVD
