Exercise Classes
The regularity of having weekly excercise classes held at Chats Lunch Club is of enormous benefit to the older people who participate in the classes. It helps to establish a common bond shared with like minded people. Forming friendships, and providing an opportunity to engage in an enjoyable activity that benefits their physical and emotional wellbeing. Helping to combat isolation, build confidence and a sense of achievement among the participants.
Yoga Classes
Weekly classes held at Clapton park Methodist Church for local older people to learn relaxation techniques coupled with physical exercise for enhancing their wellbeing. A popular activity that has been running for a number of years.
Hear My Voice
DVD project identifying the health needs of older people, particularly BME and refugee communities. Older people have direct say in health issues affecting them, what health authorities can do to improve services.
