Scriptwriting workshops
Workshops for 11-18 years held at Arcola Theatre covering the whole process of scriptwriting from beginning to end. The workshop participants learned the principles and practice of:
- Identifying story idea
- Researching story ideas
- Developing a storyline
- Developing characters
- Writing the script
The workshop were very good in bringing together young people from different backgrounds to work on developing a script about knife crime that they were going to film.
Hackney Youth Matters DVD
Young people who had been on workshops at Arcola Theatre acted and produced the drama section of the DVD as well as taking part in interviews.
Let’s face it....DVD
DVD dealing with prevention of Drugs & Alcohol misuse amongst 11-18 year olds. The DVD uses interviews with young people, dramatised testimonies and interviews with Hackney Youth Service outreach workers. Let’s face it….DVD is used in Hackney Schools by Teachers and Hackney Youth Service outreach workers to engage 11-18 year olds in discussing the harms of Drugs & Alcohol misuse.
