HACKNEY MIGRATIONS HERITAGE

The fifty minute film explores the heritage of migrations to Hackney from its diverse communities, including Caribbean, Asian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cypriot, and Kurdish. Focusing on their first arrivals, difficulties with housing and racism, family and work life, and their decisions to stay in Hackney.

PREVENTING ISOLATION AND LONELINESS - OLDER PEOPLE

Isolation and loneliness can be devastating for older people, affecting their confidence, mental and physical health. This twenty-two-minute video has interviews with older people talking about their experiences of isolation and loneliness. Experts give their advice and top tips for older people to overcome Isolation and loneliness.

MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH
Maternal mental health difficulties can first manifest as anxiety, low self-esteem and depression.  Mothers talk about their experiences and how women going through similar journeys can can get the support they need. 
The video can be used to raise awareness about maternal mental health, support perinatal women, and train staff.

Young Carers are some of the most vulnerable groups of people in society. Not only having to deal with the responsibility of caring for their parents and family members, but also managing their own complex emotional and practical needs, often with little support. This video has practical advice for Young Carers and professionals.

SURVIVING HOMELESSNESS
The causes of homelessness are varied and complex. Mental wellbeing is adversely affected, leading to loss of confidence, anxiety, depression and more serious mental health conditions. Recovering good mental health is a key component in helping homeless people to rebuild their lives. This Video can be used by new staff and volunteers supporting homeless people to have a greater awareness of mental wellbeing is a crucial factor in helping homeless people to rebuild their lives.
CARE FOR THE CARER-DEMENTIA CARE
Caring for people with dementia can be one of the most challenging things anyone can face. It puts enormous pressure on the mental wellbeing of the carers, who have to deal with complex emotions and changes to their lives, forcing them to focus almost exclusively on the needs of the person with dementia.
This 20 minute video contains interviews with carers about their experience of looking after someone with dementia, and interviews with professionals about what carers can do to retain their mental wellbeing while being a dementia carer.
REFUGEE MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS
Refugees face compounded mental health problems, from fleeing wars and persecution, trauma of seeking asylum, difficulties of settling into a new society.
This video has interviews with refugees about their experiences, interviews with service providers and experts.The video can be used by health professionals and refugee communities to initiate discussion , tackle stigma and improve services for the wellbeing of refugees.
MIND MATTERS - MENTAL WELLBEING FOR OLDER PEOPLE
Video raising awareness of mental wellbeing for older people. Interviews with older people discussing mental wellbeing issues. Many older people experience psychological or emotional distress associated with factors linked to old age, including isolation, loss of independence, loneliness and losses of many kinds, including bereavements. Older people are often afraid to talk about mental health issues or seek support. 
WOMEN OF FAITH
This 60 minute documentary looks at the lives of three women who have found that faith helps them in their lives, discovering faiths which they did not grow up in. The film looks at their beliefs, their interests, and what motivates them.

Short fiction film about Bi Polar disorder faced by a teenager as she deals with her emotions and contemplates suicide. have been well received and deal with important social issues. 

HEALTH FOR ALL
Health inequalities in the UK are widening. Successive government and health service initiatives have failed. Do the health authorities need to look at how they deliver health services to meet the needs of all UK citizens. This DVD looks at some the possible solutions to why current health service provision is failing.
