Migrant Mental Health Support
Migrants and refugees are often the most in need of mental health support, due to escaping war, areas of conflict, family disassociation, personal trauma, and depression with dealing with ongoing bureaucracy of their cases with Home Office , migration services and fitting into the system. Most migrants are unaware of the mental health service and lack the knowledge and confidence to complete lengthy forms which require detailed information. The project will take referrals from these and other community organisations and self referrals to meet migrants to assess their mental health needs and complete the necessary forms to refer them to relevant mental health agencies for mild to moderate mental health support.
How it works
In person booking session is arranged to assess needs.
We complete forms to refer the client to appropriate mental health services to receive treatment.
